Our Services

At BNLC, we offer a whole child approach specializing in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, psychoeducational evaluations, school readiness and entrance evaluations, and tutoring.

Our evaluations will help you and the professionals working with your child understand them better. We take an in-depth look at literacy skills, reading comprehension, writing skills, mathematical computation and thinking strategies. We will also evaluate focus and attention, time management, problem solving, critical thinking, planning and organization.

At BNLC, we will help your child reach their potential, while also supporting you on this journey.

  • A neuropsychological evaluation at BNLC involves an in-depth intake and developmental history, several hours of one-on-one neuropsychological testing, information gathering from therapists or teachers, an interactive feedback session, as well as a final comprehensive written report.

Dr. Baker’s comprehensive, high-quality neuropsychological evaluations can provide:

    • Insight into your child's thinking and learning style including strengths and areas of growth.

    • Practical recommendations to support optimal functioning, address school concerns and/or manage emotional or behavioral concerns.

    • Assist with coordination of care with the pediatrician, educators, therapists and other relevant professionals.

    • Provide diagnostic clarity for questions regarding possible learning disorders, ADHD, psychological disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

Dr. Baker’s evaluations are typically completed within one day, and a comprehensive report with detailed recommendations follows within 2-4 weeks. Evaluations can be tailored to address specific referral needs.

  • These less comprehensive and more targeted evaluations are typically used for school entrance or gifted qualification (e.g., IQ testing), toddler and preschool evaluations, focused assessment of academic progress, and/or focused ADHD evaluations.

  • Dr. Baker is a board certified neuropsychologist who has experience serving as an expert witness in a variety of personal injury and medical malpractice lawsuit cases. Over the years his forensic services have included case consultation, record review and independent neuropsychological evaluations.

  • Tutoring at BNLC is grounded in a structure based approach. After assessing your child’s needs, we will utilize developmentally appropriate, research based methodologies to create a solid remediation plan. We are able to support your child with reading, writing, math, handwriting and learning behaviors.

  • Mrs. Baker has considerable experience with kindergarten students. If you are questioning whether your child is ready for kindergarten, Mrs. Baker is available to help guide your decision making.
